We appreciate that choosing an accountant, particularly if you are in business, is no easy task. It is important for you to know that you will be able to get on with your accountants, that your relationship will be built on trust and confidence in their ability to advise you properly.

Whilst we hope that we have provided you with a lot of relevant information throughout these Web pages, there are always certain questions people would like to ask at such a time. We have tried to answer some of the more common questions we get asked when meeting prospective clients:

"Will you be more expensive than other accountants?"
We believe that our fees are reasonable when compared to other accountants offering the same range of services as ourselves. You need to be sure that you are comparing apples with apples. What's important is for you to decide what your requirements are. As with most things in life you get what you pay for......

But read on to the next question; it may help to reassure you!

"Will you quote me a fixed fee?"
We are ALWAYS happy to provide fixed quotations for our clients' recurring services. Even when we are asked to provide additional services, over and above such recurring work, we will always try to provide a fixed fee for the job.

Remember that we pride ourselves on giving our clients proactive advice which will benefit them financially. Where the financial benefit can be easily quantified we will be happy to negotiate a fee equal to an agreed percentage of the saving.

"Are you going to quote a lower fee just to win business, only to increase the fee in year two?"
The answer is most definitely NO. We want to build our business on sound client relationships, borne out of trust and honesty (many of our new clients are recommended by existing clients). Such relationships could not exist if we simply BOUGHT clients in this way.

"Can you guarantee to reduce my tax bills?"
Perhaps you should visit our pages on Business Tax and Personal Tax, where we hope we have succeeded in setting out our approach to tax. It is a fact that, despite Gordon Brown's attack on tax avoidance measures, many opportunities exist to legitimately reduce your tax bill. We will identify any relevant tax planning opportunities for you and (if applicable) your business.

"I’m concerned that your offices are too far away from me and/or my business. What can you do about that?"
It is true that the vast majority of our clients are based in South East Wales (from Swansea to Cwmbran and Brecon to Cardiff). If you are based within that area there is no problem. We will be happy to come to you if it is difficult for you to get to us. However, we do have clients well outside this area. These days, new technology has made things easier, helping to cut down the need for regular meetings. Call us and we'll be happy to explore how we can help.
